Hanger it is not just a word, it's science
Now when Bruce Banner turns into the Hulk and smashes everything in his site, we call him Incredible. But when I do it, I’m Hangry. But has anyone ever wondered why so many of us have gone from really happy to, I want to smash your head through a wall if you do not bring me some nummers ASAP? Well some scientists from the National Academy of Science wondered that very same thing and according to a new study, “Self control of aggressive impulses requires energy, and much of this energy is provided by glucose derived from the food we eat.” So to translate that, maybe you should consider, instead of turning green and smashing everything in site, maybe consider grabbing a chick pea salad with an assortment of variety goodness form the mother earth.
During this study, Scientists gave spouses the opportunity to blast their partners with loud irritating noises (boat horn or nails on chalk board) or to stick voodoo dolls representing said spouse full of pins.
Researchers found that “as expected, the lower the level of glucose in the blood, the greater number of pins participants stuck into the voodoo doll, and the higher intensity and longer duration of noise participants set for their spouse.” As NPR reports, “People with the lowest blood sugar levels stuck more than twice as many pins in the voodoo dolls, compared to people with the highest levels.”
Now before we wrap this up, as I know you are probably pretty hungry, but do you know what Hypoglycemia is? Well let me (or wikipedia) tell you, It is a medical emergency that involves an abnormally diminished content of glucose in the blood. Now I am no Doctor like Sir Hangry Himself Bruce Banner, and in no way am I saying that just because you feel a little irritable when you miss a meal, does this mean you have a disease such as Hypoglycemia. But perhaps this could be an early sign, or it could be something completely different, who knows. All we are looking to do is to get you thinking, trying to better understand your body, and why it is making you place twice as many pins in a voodoo doll that resembles your life partner, you crazy panda.
Now in conclusion, we suggest before you go and open your trap and say something you will no doubt regret, do yourself and your loved ones a favor, keep your word maker shut, and pack a few extra healthy snacks.
